§ 57A-12. Setback requirements.

Unless otherwise specified within this chapter, all freestanding signs permitted by this chapter shall be erected and maintained pursuant to the following:A.Located not less than 10 feet from any side property line.B.Located not less than 12 feet from the property line when the abutting roadway has a posted speed limit of up to 30 miles per hour, not less than 17 feet from the property line when the abutting roadway has a posted speed limit of 31 through 40 miles per hour; and not less than 22 feet from the property line when the abutting roadway has a posted speed limit of 41 through 55 miles per hour, however, if the average front setback of existing buildings on the same side of the street within the same block is less than the above specified number of feet, then not less than the established average setback.C.Irrespective of Subsection B above, at intersections, no sign shall be located within the triangle formed by the intersection of the two property lines and a baseline which intersects those two lines at a point 30 feet from the aforementioned intersection point.
