§ 66-9. Term of license and medallion.

  • A. 
    Every license and medallion issued shall be for a term of two years beginning on January 1 and expiring December 31 of the second year unless earlier suspended or revoked by the Town of Brookhaven, as provided herein. Any license or medallion issued mid-term shall expire on the second December 31 thereof, unless earlier suspended or revoked by the Town of Brookhaven, as provided herein.
    B. 
    Every license and medallion shall be renewable upon the expiration of its term. Applications for renewals must be submitted prior to September 1. Any renewal application submitted after this deadline shall be subject to a late fee of $150.
    C. 
    Every person holding a license pursuant to § 66-3D(3) shall have the words “not for hire” painted or otherwise affixed to both sides of the tow truck so as to be clearly visible on the highway.
